Mercedes CE 280
The 280 CE models of Mercedes cars were first introduced in 1972 on a W114 chassis type. The very first 280 CE W114 was styled by Paul Bracq, featuring three-box design It had 4 speed manual transmission, 2746ccm engine that had power output rated at 136kW or 186 hp. The W123 model of 280 CE had M110L6 2.8L engine and produced 115 kW or 156 ps at 5500 rpm. Both had maximum speed at 200 km/h and accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds. W123 is the internal chassis-designation Mercedes-Benz used for their executive line of cars, manufactured between 1976 and 1985. The W123 models surpassed their predecessor, the W114 and W115 models, as the most successful Mercedes, selling 2.7 million cars before replacement by the W124 after 1985.
