Symptoms of P0520 OBD II Trouble Code

  • Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated (a.k.a. Check Engine Light)
  • Oil pressure gauge reading low or high
  • Oil pressure indicator lamp illuminated

Common Causes of P0520 OBD II Trouble Code

  • Faulty engine oil pressure sensor
  • Excessive resistance in the oil pressure sensor circuit
  • Short in the circuit to/from the oil pressure sensor and/or PCM and/or ground
  • Faulty PCM (less likely)
